• Nadiem Makarim and Liliana Tanoesoedibjo Discuss Indonesian Education Advancement

    JAKARTA – Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Anwar Makarim held a meeting with Chairwoman of MNC Group, Liliana Tanoesoedibjo. They discussed the progress of education in the country, Indonesia.

    The meeting was held at the Ministry of Education and Culture office, in Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta.

    “So far, we have strongly supported education and culture in Indonesia. In formal education, we have MNC College. We apply non-formal education in our work programs,” Liliana said, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

    MNC in its role as a media has a big influence by carrying out the function of the media, to educate and support the world of education and culture in the country.

    MNC Media programs provide education to the public in a variety of real forms, such as in founding talent search programs: Indonesian Idol, Rising Star, and Miss Indonesia, and other programs that have elements of educational and cultural content.

    “As a media, we have a great influence to Indonesian people in terms of value or good content to educate them, provide programs related to education. So, it is very influential,” she said.

    In the future, Liliana continued, MNC Group and Kemendikbud can establish cooperation in order to expand the reach of education for all people through media.

    “Hopefully, there is cooperation between the Ministry and MNC. We will fully support all government programs, so that what we do will be related to the government as well. Always in the context of supporting the government, especially for Indonesia to be more advanced,” she concluded.

    The presence of Liliana together with the BOD of MNC Group to the Ministry of Education and Culture office was intended to discuss many collaborations that could be carried out to improve education in Indonesia.
