Indonesian citizen, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada in 1988, and MBA from Ottawa University, Canada in 1989.Mr. Tanoesoedibjo is the founder and Executive Chairman of MNC Group, which focuses on four strategic investments: Media & Entertainment, Financial Services, Entertainment Hospitality, and Energy.

In the media business, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo manages 4 national FTA television networks with almost 50% national audience share and 3 Pay TV services using satellite and fixed broadband networks with more than 12 million subscribers.

In the digital media and entertainment, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo also controls the largest AVOD, SVOD and premium super apps called RCTI+ and Vision+ which have combined monthly active users of more than 100 million, with content variety to include videos, news & articles, podcast, audio series, radio streaming, UGC competition, music, online casting, novel based stories, comics and casual games.

The group also owns various portals and news apps with total monthly active users exceeding 53 million, and operates Multi Channel Networks (MCN) on various social media with traffic of more than 1.5 billion every month.

Content production is also the group’s strength. The group produces more than 20,000 hours of best quality digital and non-digital video content every year with a library of more than 300,000 hours, owns the largest IPs related to content, publishes more than 70,000 articles every month, uploads 500-700 video clips on the social media every day and manages more than 600 talents under its talent management. MNC Group has recently launched its first MOBA game called Fight of Legends.

In financial services, MNC Group has integrated financial services from banking, credit cards, securities brokerage, general and life insurance, consumer finance & leasing, asset management and fintech to include e-money, e-wallet and remittance as well as payment gateway. Currently, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo is focusing on the integration of his securities trading app, e-money/wallet and digital banking.

In the entertainment hospitality, the group’s portfolio includes MNC Lido City, a 3,000 hectare prestigious entertainment resort in the Greater Jakarta area with a special economic zone permit. The group also owns several office buildings and hotels such as Park Hyatt Jakarta, Oakwood Hotel & Residence Surabaya, The Westin Resort & Convention Centre in Bali and MNC Bali Resort.

In the Energy sector, MNC Group controls coal mining business permits in South Sumatra, along with support operations from hauling roads, weighbridges, stockpiles, crushers, to coal ports.

As an established entrepreneur, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo actively advises the government and the parliament on economic matters and regularly gives speeches at various national and international events. He is also active in giving general lectures in various universities across Indonesia on the subject of entrepreneurship and strategic management. Mr. Tanoesoedibjo has a passion to groom young Indonesians to be like him. So far, he has given lectures in more than 180 universities.
