GOMBONG - MNC Peduli through Jalinan Kasih Foundation continues its concern in health, by organizing a free cleft lip and a palatal operation called "Senyum Indonesia".
MNC Peduli Jalinan Kasih Foundation collaborates with PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital to carry out a "Senyum Indonesia" Health Service in early 2020.
It is a tangible manifestation of the consistency of MNC Peduli to help underprivileged communities.
The Director of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital, Dr. Ibnu Naser Arohimi, S.Ag.MMR gave a warm welcome to this event held by MNC Peduli Jalinan Kasih Foundation.
This cleft lip surgery really helped those in an underprivileged community.
"I really appreciate MNC Peduli Jalinan Kasih Foundation in organizing this free cleft lip operation that was held in collaboration with PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong. Hopefully this activity can help the wider community specifically for the less," said Dr.Ibnu Naser Arohimi, Wednesday (02/12/2020).
According to Dr.Ibnu Naser Arohimi, in this activity, the number of patients undergoing cleft lip surgery was 15 people. They are ranging from age 3 months to 4 years.
Participants who register not only come from Kebumen regency, but also from surrounding districts such as Cilacap, Pemalang, Kebumen, Banyumas, and Banjarnegara. And these 15 patients were handled directly by a team of plastic surgery doctors at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital.
"The number of free cleft lip surgery patients is 15 patients who will be operated on by a team of plastic surgeons," he explained.
Meanwhile, MNC Peduli Chairwoman, Jessica Tanoesoedibjo highly appreciated the social activities carried out by Jalinan Kasih Foundation.
"MNC Peduli in 2020 restarted the ‘Senyum Indonesia’ program to help cleft lip and palatal patients from underprivileged communities," said Jessica.

She was hoping that cleft lip surgery patients who have undergone surgery soon recover and will be able to speak normally.
"We expect patients to recover quickly from the surgery and be able to restore their normal functioning to talk, eat, drink and others," she said.
"And of course we hope that with this activity, we can help declining the number of people with cleft in Indonesia," she added.
