• Asia-Pacific Pay-TV Operators Summit (APOS) : Pay-Tv Operators Need Synergy

    Denpasar - Hundreds of pay-TV operators in Asia-Pacific re-gathered in Bali to attend the Asia-Pacific Pay-TV Operators Summit (APOS) this year.

    In this sixth year event, the MNC Group is the host of the event to discuss the pay-TV business development in the future. APOS founder, Hary Tanoesoedibjo (HT), appreciates pay-TV management because more of operators joining APOS. In the midst of such great potential, Hary hopes APOS will be able to provide benefits to management and people of the world.

    "This annual meeting may also become a place to explore, create, and even improve cooperation among operators of pay-TV as well as between the pay-TV operators with commercial television," said Hary during the opening of APOS gala dinner at Hotel Ayana, Jimbaran, last night. Hary who is also the CEO of MNC Group revealed that Indonesia consistently hosted APOS since 2010.

    The participants are not only from Asia but also from America and Europe. From the Asian region itself, there are pay-TV operators from Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, and Malaysia.

    From 680 participants, some of them are leaders of companies such as Disney, FOX, and HBO.According to Hary, the presences of the leaders indicates that they see potential in Indonesia.

    APOS 2015 will take place three days and discuss some issues, for instance content, digital media, internet, and broadband up to the issue of commercial television. The participants share their experiences of the development of customer, channel, program or broadcast content to the system and technology.

    For MNC Group, the forum has the potential to present company profile. He hopes this presentation will give the idea about mutually beneficial cooperation that could be developed in the future. "This is also for Indonesia, both in popularity and investment," stated Hary.
