JAKARTA – Di Balik 98 movie is selected to be the Favorite Movie in Indonesian Movie Award (IMA) 2015. The achievement of this MNC Pictures movie adds a number of its success after previously screened at Indonesian Movie Festival (IFF) in 2015 at the Australian Movie Image Center, Melbourne, Australia, last April.

The director, Lukman Sardi, saw this achievement is a motivation to raise and make the story into a film of a higher quality, not just only to attract the attention of the viewers.

"We're trying to create the best in our work. It becomes responsibility and motivation to us to make the better movie for Indonesia," said Lukman, at Balai Sarbini, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (19/5).

The trophy is also dedicated to the reformists in 1998, especially the families of the reformers who demand justice for the loss of a number of activists in the incident.

"I dedicate to reformers, and the families who await completion of this incident," said Lukman.

In addition, this trophy is also supposed to make the government aware that the filmmakers cannot live without the support of them. In the future, the government and filmmakers can work together to develop quality of local movies.

"Indonesian movies need to be more advanced in terms of quality. We do not demand on viewers’ amount, but the movie needs to exist. We need a partner and government should be our partner to support Indonesian movies." he concluded.
