• To Launch Mobile Banking, MNC Bank is Targeting to Increase CASA

    JAKARTA - PT Bank MNC International Tbk targets low deposit funds (current account savings account / CASA) can be increased until the end of the year in line with the company's plans to launch a mobile and internet banking in the second half of this year.

    President Director of MNC Bank Benny Purnomo said those electronic channel services are ready to be launched. Currently, the company is still waiting for the permit from the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

    “Our system is ready. Now, we are waiting the approval from the FSA, " he said.

    Benny added, till the end of the year, the portion of CASA on MNC Bank Third Party Fund (TPF) may increase. Until the first half of this year, the portion of CASA in TPF is still at 20%, while the rest in deposits. With the mobile and internet banking, CASA portion is expected to be 25%.

    He said that at June 2015 MNC Bank's total deposits rose 28.13% year on year (yoy) to Rp8,2 trillion from Rp6.4 trillion. This increase contributed from current accounts and deposits, while savings bank tends to decrease because of undeveloped infrastructure.

    Of the company's financial report as of June 2015, in year-to-date (ytd), MNC Bank’s TPF recorded an increase of 6.23% from the previous Rp7,73 trillion. As detail, deposits increased by 4.34% to Rp6,63 trillion from Rp6,36 trillion.

    Current accounts also showed an increase of 35.99% to Rp953,31 billion from Rp700,99 billion. While savings decreased by 6.95% to Rp628,77 billion from Rp675,76 billion.

    "Mainly, mobile banking is to increase savings. Savings target of MNC Bank is increased by 30% from last year, "he said.
