MNC Life is ready to Expand Syariah and DPLK This Year

Jakarta - PT MNC Life Assurance is ready to expand two business units this year, namely Syariah and Financial Institutions Pension Fund (DPLK). The company is awaiting the holding company for two companies’ acquisition process for the inorganic development.

Director of MNC Life, Patricia Rolla Bawata believes that this acquisition plan will be completed at the end of the year. The company is confident to get into the DPLK industry because of captive market potential of MNC group.

"We are confident with the organic and inorganic growth. MNC Group continues to grow rapidly and committed. This acquisition is part of the holding plan with the actuarial consultant who was setting it up," Patricia said in a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday (21/04/2015).

She said the current number of required permissions have been processed to be submitted to the regulator. Hopefully at the end of this year, MNC Life DPLK will be able to operate or no later than the beginning of 2016.

"This business is suitable to the life insurance. So that, we are ready to manage long-term funds," she added.

She mentions, Syariah also needs preparation because it has to prepare a special permit from the authority.

In fact, new distribution channels are also being constructed for these new businesses. "We strengthen the integrated system and infrastructure so that the service will be excellent with same standards," she said.
