MNC Sky Adds Its Own Production Channels

JAKARTA - The condition of rupiah exchange rates to the US dollar (USD) has not indicated fine progress. PT MNC Sky Vision Tbk (MSKY) revealed, as a precaution of weakening of the rupiah, MNC Sky has a strategy to multiply its own production channels.

Director of MNC Sky Rudianto Tanoesoedibjo said, a challenge for pay TV company is in the exchange rate. "Yes, we have experienced in exchange rate. It is the challenge of the Pay TV company because most of the channel paid with USD," he said after the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) in MNC Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday (20/05).

By increasing the channel itself, PT MNC Sky will provide added value for the company's revenue that use rupiahs. "MNC Channel also dominated the Nielsen top 20 of the overall program in the last year," explained Rudianto.

In addition, he said that it has an agreement with a channel that has a contract with the company in order to maintain its rating. If not, then the company will terminate the contract.
