12 Companies Achieve Sindo Weekly CSR Awards 2015

JAKARTA - A total of 12 national companies achieved Sindo Weekly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards 2015. The award is an appreciation for companies that have been paying attention to the community and environment.

Director of Sindo Weekly, Sururi Alfaruq suggested that Sindo Weekly CSR Awards is based on Sindo’s concern about a lot of companies which are very concerned with CSR program, but is not published to the community.

"Sindo magazine organized these awards because we see a lot of companies are very concerned about CSR program, and unfortunately that is not delivered and published to the public," he said at the event in Jakarta, Thursday (06/08).

He said, these companies have contributed greatly to the country with attention and concern for the community and the environment. To that end, this activity becomes a means of educating the public to know the companies that have concern for the environment.

"Many people do not know about that company. The budget companies only seek profit, but there are a lot of major contributions in CSR programs in huge amount. Based on that, it would be a pity if media does not publish it to the society," he explained.

According to Faruq, the company is expected to increase its budget for CSR programs. Thus, various problems in society related to health, poverty, and education can be helped from the company's CSR program.

The 12 companies which won the awards are PT POS Indonesia (Persero), PT Jasamarga (Persero) Tbk, FIF Group, PT Nissan Motor Indonesia, PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Perum Percetakan Uang RI, PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Pertamina EP, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk and PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk.
