JAKARTA – Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) hopes that MNC Group can continue to play a role in shaping the nation's character through its media.
It was conveyed by the Chairperson KPI, Agung Suprio when in touch with the MNC Group Executive Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo and the MNC Group BOD in iNews Tower, Jakarta, Monday (2/24/2020).
"Broadcasting institutions have an obligation to shape the character of Indonesia's young generation, so we hope that MNC Group can carry out that mandate. Until now, I think MNC is on the right track," Agung said.
Not only entertaining or informative, so far the media under the banner of MNC Group presents content that educates, motivates and inspires. MNC Group always obeys broadcasting regulations.
"We hope that MNC as a large media, especially RCTI as the longest-running private television, can become a pillar in the national television industry in Indonesia," Agung said.
MNC Group Executive Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo revealed that content can provide opinions, and can even change culture. "The existence of KPI is very good however, there must still be limitations that we must hold. For that, we fully support the efforts of the KPI," Hary said.
Answering challenges in a new era, said Hary, MNC Group has taken several strategic steps. First, prepare the infrastructure. Second, prepare human resources. "Young people who are good at digital we prepare, MNC has an Innovation Center to support migration or expansion to digital," he said.
