JAKARTA - Anugerah Musik Indonesia Awards or Indonesia Music Awards (AMI Awards) will be held again soon. In collaboration with the Indonesian Music Awards Foundation (YAMI), RCTI will present a special event with the concept of 'World Language Music'.

This concept is a commitment from RCTI to appreciate Indonesian musicians’ works. The event will be held at Studio RCTI +, the largest studio in Southeast Asia.

"The dedication to continue appreciating Indonesian musicians is the basis for RCTI and YAMI to always work together to provide great collaboration at AMI Awards every year," CEO RCTI Kanti Mirdiati said at a press conference at MNC Studios, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Monday (11/25/2019).

"We hope the 22nd AMI Awards can continue to motivate the younger generation, especially the millennials in producing high-quality works," Kanti continued.

The theme 'World Language Music' was deliberately taken because music has now become a universal language. The musicians from generation X and Y are very receptive to create foreign language music because it can be enjoyed internationally.

Moreover, young people who create music and carry local languages in their work will be appreciated. This also proves that music has now become a world language, can be enjoyed universally without limits.

"Although we have been working together for 19 years, our cooperation with RCTI is not just based on our kinship. We continue to adhere to the principles of independence, credibility, and professionalism. We congratulate all winners of AMI Awards 2019, and hopefully they can always provide their best works,” Chairperson of YAMI Dwiki Dharmawan said.

The 22nd AMI Awards will award works that were released in the period from July 2018 to June 2019. This year, AMI has prepared 71 trophies for 47 categories and 3 Best-Best categories.

AMI Awards 2019 which will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, surely will be enlivened by many talented musicians, namely Andmesh, Fatin, Yovie Widianto, Tulus, BCL, Rizky Febian, Marion Jola, Raisa, Glenn Fredly, Iis Dahlia, GAC, Brisia Jodie, and many more.
