PADANG – Graduate student does not have to be civil servants but should be an entrepreneur. It was said by CEO of MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo in a public lecture on Entrepreneurship in University of Andalas (Unand) Conventional Hall Padang, West Sumatra.

"The first reason to become an entrepreneur in Indonesia today is opportunity and need. It can be opportunity because Indonesia continues to grow," said Hary in front of thousands of students, Tuesday (04/28/2015).

Then the second reason is Indonesia needs the presence of entrepreneurs. According to Hary, entrepreneurs are needed to advance Indonesia. "Currently, we only have two percent of entrepreneurs but we should have three to six percent to advance our country," he said.

Entrepreneurs will contribute taxes to the government for the development of the country. "At present, there are only one million taxpayers whereas we had 200 million populations," he added.

Entrepreneurs are also able to create jobs for Indonesian people. Hary convinces the students that Indonesia is a country which has great resources, not only rich in mineral but also vast oceans, fertile land and a lot of young generations.

This public lecture given by Hary gets high enthusiasm both from college and high school students. In fact, they are willing to stand in order to get the story experience from Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
